Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must secure a full-time, non-seasonal job offer in an eligible agricultural occupation. This ensures stable employment and aligns with the program’s goal of supporting Canada’s agri-food sector.
The inviter must meet the minimum income requirement set by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This ensures that the inviter can financially support the visiting parent or grandparent.
The applicant must have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company, with at least CAD 100,000 in coverage for a minimum of one year. This is required to cover healthcare expenses, as visitors are not covered by Canada’s public health system.
The applicant must undergo a medical examination to confirm they meet Canada’s health requirements for long-term stays.

Required Documents
A valid passport that covers the intended duration of stay
Proof of Canadian medical insurance, demonstrating at least CAD 100,000 coverage
A letter of invitation from the inviter (child or grandchild), detailing the relationship and confirming financial support
Proof of relationship to the inviter (such as birth certificates or other official documents)
